After Russia began its invasion into Ukraine, the world has begun giving sanctions in attempt to end the conflict. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman those sanctions could even reach and impact the NHL.
He thinks Russian players who need a visa next year are concerned about what the Canadian and U.S. governments are going to do about visas for Russians who need to come over.
Hopefully this whole crisis ends quickly and these sanctions to not extend to the NHL because their is no reason to be punishing NHL players for something that is not in their control. They have nothing to do with what is happening in Ukraine.
