Russian players concerned about whether they'll play next season
During tonight's Hockey Night In Canada, Elliotte Friedman reported that the current Russian Invasion of Ukraine could have far reaching impacts. Due to the sanctions being placed against Russia, there could ultimately be some long-term Visa issues for Russian citizens.
Friedman shared the following thoughts:
I thinks Russian players who need a visa next year are concerned about what the Canadian and U.S. governments are going to do about visas for Russians who need to come over.
We truly hope this situation doesn't continue to escalate for the sake of everyone involved.
