Logan Thompson has found himself on the trade block and a new team has emerged as a contender for the All-Star goaltender.
Thompson's Strong Play
Logan Thompson is one of the best stories in the NHL right now. After going undrafted in all of his years of eligibility, Thompson worked his way up through the minor leagues to the NHL.
Last season as a rookie, Thompson looked like a prime candidate for the Calder trophy before going down with an injury. Before getting hurt, Thompson made an appearance in the All-Star game.
His stats last year were strong posting a .915 sv% and a 2.65 GAA.
New Thompson Frontrunner
Eklund of HockeyBuzz.com, a controversial insider, has shared some major news regarding Thompson's potential suitors.
His value should be very high, and we have learned in the past that Vegas moves guys who want out. The Sabres, Devils, and Canes are among those «holding their breath!»
It was known that the Sabres and Devils were interested in Thompson but Carolina is a completely new team.
They are pretty set with goaltending right now with three NHL goaltenders but Thompson is a young option who could emerge as a starter for years to come.
Depending on which team offers the best package, we could watch Thompson wind up on the East Coast with any of these contenders.
