Dylan Larkin gives the Red Wings an urgent ultimatum

The standoff between Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings has reached a boiling point, and according to one insider, the veteran center is not budging.
The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta summed up where things stand with a blunt assessment of Larkin's position.
It seems like Dylan Larkin has effectively just dug in right now and said, these are my 10 [teams], figure it out.
Larkin Holds All the Leverage
Larkin holds the cards because of a full no-trade clause, meaning no deal happens without his approval. His list began with just three clubs, the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights, before expanding to 10 teams on Oct. 20, according to the Detroit Free Press. TSN's Pierre LeBrun later confirmed that no Canadian clubs made the cut.
Things turned ugly on Oct. 29, when Larkin informed the team he would no longer play for Detroit. The Red Wings responded by suspending him without pay.
Interim general manager Shawn Horcoff said the organization will keep exploring trade opportunities, but any deal must also serve the best interests of the franchise.
Why a Deal Remains Difficult
That is where the real difficulty lies. Detroit wants a return that helps a franchise that has missed the playoffs 10 straight seasons, yet Larkin's list shrinks the pool of possible partners.
Elliotte Friedman reported that the Panthers, Golden Knights and Avalanche look like unlikely fits, which could prompt Larkin to revise his list once more.
Other suitors exist, but none have solved the puzzle yet. The Capitals have reportedly shown interest, though Washington is said to be unwilling to part with the Protas brothers.
For now, the pressure sits squarely on Horcoff's desk. Larkin has made his demand, and the Red Wings must decide whether to meet him on his terms or keep waiting for a stronger offer.
Every day without a resolution adds strain to an already fractured relationship, so a breakthrough, or another revised list, could arrive sooner rather than later. Fans have waited long enough for clarity.
