We are just under 2 weeks until the 2023 National Hockey League trade deadline and we've already seen some big name players get traded in Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O'Reilly.

There are a lot of big names still available, and there are also quite a few role players who could be very valuable to a contending team.
Players like Jakob Chychrun have not been playing for their NHL teams for awhile due to the risk of injury, and it looks like another team is following suit.
The Vancouver Canucks have made Luke Schenn a healthy scratch for tonights game against the Nashville Predators, as he heads back to Vancouver to await a trade.
Schenn is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning and brings a lot of grit and shutdown ability to a contending team.
While Schenn doesn't provide huge offensive numbers, he will be a very valuable add to any team looking for depth.
