Bruins forward Milan Lucic was arrested last weekend following a 911 call for an alleged domestic violence incident. Since then, new reports have come out detailing the events that lead to his detainment. Now we know even more about the case, including what kind of sentence Lucic could be facing.
New Details Emerge In Lucic Arrest And Legal Battle
According to NHL insider Frank Serravalli, Lucic has been arrested on one count of assault and battery after he allegedly threatened his wife and grabbed her by the neck after he lost his cell phone.
Lucic was reportedly intoxicated when police arrived but he denied the allegations made against him. Following his arrest, Lucic announced that he had entered the NHL's player assistance program.
Milan Lucic will now enter the NHL Players Assistance Program following his arrest/release on bail. He will remain on a leave of absence from the Bruins. #NHL #NHLBruins
Assault and Battery carries a maximum sentence of two years in jail and a 1000 dollar fine in the state of Massachusetts.
