MUST SEE: Peter DeBoer calls out Robin Lehner
It's been pretty dramatic the last days between the Vegas Golden Knights, Robin Lehner & head coach Peter DeBoer.
Following a game against the New Jersey Devils where the Knights should have won but lost 3-2, DeBoer called out Lehner. Then 2 days later against the Washington Capitals, DeBoer pulled Lehner after the first period of a 1-1 game, which confused everyone.
The next day it was announced that Lehner was going to have season ending surgery, which DeBoer claimed:
«Not to my knowledge. It was a maintenance day today. I expect him at practice tomorrow. I expect him dressed on Sunday.»
It was announced yesterday that the Golden Knights had asked Robin Lehner to postpone his surgery so it did not cause any salary cap implications. Sad.
Now tonight the Golden Knights play the Dallas Stars in a MUST WIN, game for the Knights, as if they lose this one they will not be making the playoffs.
Peter DeBoer was asked about Lehner being out for the season, which he responded:
«The announcement speaks for itself. I'm concerned about the guys that are here, battling with us here tonight.»
