Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons is one hell of a football player, but hockey player? Not so much. It appears he has never seen a ceremonial faceoff take place before, nor did anyone tell him how to do one!
The Dallas Cowboys member was named Rookie Defensive Player of the Year in his first season in the league and appears to be well on his way to a lengthy, successful career. As for hockey, well it seems Parsons is still learning the rules.
While he plays for Dallas, Parsons is a product of Pennsylvania. He made a name for himself playing football at Harrisburg High School and Penn State University before being drafted to the NFL. To celebrate the hometown hero, Parsons was invited to a Hershey Bears hockey game over the weekend where he was tasked with conducting a ceremonial faceoff. Parsons' name was announced, he walked along the carpet to centre ice for the faceoff, and simply threw the puck down before the players even had a chance to lineup. When people started laughing, Parsons just shrugged his shoulders as if to say "What I do?"
