The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that they have places Petr Mrazek on the long-term injured reserve retroactive to November 4th.
Mrazek has appeared in two games for the Leafs this season and holds a record of 1-1-0 record with a GAA of 4.20 and a S% of .877
The Leafs recalled Joseph Woll yesterday to serve as backup for starting goalie Jack Campbell who has been outstanding for the Leafs this season and last.
The injury to Mrazek should create an urgency for Maple Leafs management to get an extension worked out with Jack Campbell before his contract price starts to substantially climb. With the Leafs limited cap space remaining there would likely be an urge to get their number one goalie inked to an extension sooner rather than later.
