We haven't seen John Tortorella behind a bench since his rough departure from the Columbus Blue Jackets, but it sounds like we will be seeing him behind the bench of an eastern conference team next season!
The Philadelphia Flyers underachieved last season, which could be argued was mainly due to injuries, but nonetheless management felt it needed a change. After finishing near last in the eastern conference, instead of going into a rebuild, the team is going to do a quick retool, and from the sounds of Kevin Weekes, Torts will be at the helm during this!
Tortorella is a Stanley Cup winning coach, has the most wins all time by an American-born coach and handles the media extremely well, it will be great to see him back in the league.
