David Perron has been a work horse for the St. Louis Blues over his career, and no matter how many times they trade him or let him get taken, he always finds his way back to the Blues, that's how much he loves the city of St. Louis.
Perron at the age of 34 is coming off arguably one of the best seasons of his career, scoring 27 goals 57 points in 67 games, and adding an additional 9 goals 13 points in 12 playoff games.
Perron is looking for a little boost pay wise from the $4,000,000 per season he has been making, and considering this could possibly be his last NHL contract at his age, he wants to make it count.
Sadly though, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the Atlethic, the Blues offer to Perron is two years at a much lower salary than this long time Blues player was hoping for, and has definitely left a bad taste in his mouth.
This veteran almost 1000 games has proven he can produce both in the regular season and playoffs, so if he hits free agency he will be a highly sought after free agent that many contending teams will be interested in.
But the question is, will the Blues let him get there?
