This summer has quietened down significantly in recent times in terms of drama for the NHL and professional sports, but as we say that, there's now drama in Russia for one of the league's top stars.
A Rangers star
According to a report from Gazetanov Gorod, Rangers superstar Artemi Panarin had a g*n confiscated by Russian police and fined him for sh**ting it in a place that it was not permitted.
The fine for this incident from the Russian police was reportedly 40,000 rubles (just over $400 USD) for the incident that took place back in July, and he could be facing further legal issues.
A stupid decision
While many NHL players get up to surprising things in the off-season, this one was just a stupid decision by Panarin, who could be spending his time doing much better things in Russia or the US.
With the season less than two months away, Panarin will now have to put this behind him and focus on the season in New York, with plenty of pressure on the Rangers to make a big Cup push this year, so they will be hoping this is the last of the drama involving Artemi.
