Jets' Mark Scheifele lashes out after being left off Canada's Olympics roster
Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele has made it no secret that he's not happy about being snubbed from the roster for Canada in the Olympics, which officially begin next month.
After plenty of anticipation, the official roster for Canada in the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics has been released. To nobody's surprise, names like Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, and Cale Makar all were included in the final roster.
But there were a few surprising snubs from the roster, including Sam Bennett, Connor Bedard, and Seth Jarvis.
Another notable snub was Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele, who made it no secret that he's not happy about having not been included.
Obviously it was a tough day. News that you don't want. It just shows the amount of talent in Canada. There's so many great hockey players, so many great guys. It's an honor to be part of this country just because there are so many great hockey players, and obviously I wish I was picked. God's got a plan, and you've just got to trust it.

So far this year for the Jets, Scheifele has 48 points (20G, 28A).
Mark Scheifele Wasn't The Only Notable Snub From Canada's Olympic Roster
Many fans and analysts are left puzzled after some of the snubs for Canada's Olympic roster.
Names like Sam Bennett, Connor Bedard and Seth Jarvis were all not included on the roster by Canada's GM Doug Armstrong.
There were also notable snubs on the American roster, including Jason Robertson and Adam Fox, equally puzzling.
