Carter Hart may be cleared by the NHL for a return soon, and if he does, it appears the Vegas Golden Knights could be interested in signing him.
The NHL has been rocked by the Hockey Canada trial that is now officially completed, and while all five players were found not guilty, it's unclear at this point in time if they'll be returning to the league.
Currently, the
NHL have deemed all five ineligible, but that could change in the very near future, with reports revealing that Dillon Dube, Carter Hart and Michael McLeod could draw interest in an NHL return.
According to SinBin Vegas, the Golden Knights could be interested in signing Hart, with the team needing a genuine backup alongside
Adin Hill, with the 26-year old potentially being a solid backup for years to come in the NHL after flashing potential with the Flyers in his first stint in the league.
Hart has been out of the NHL since the 2023/24 campaign due to the trial, but in his final two years in the league, he posted a GAA under 3.00 in both of them, showing that he has the potential to be a long-term piece in the National Hockey League.
While many believe the five should not be eligible to return to the NHL, if Gary Bettman and the league eventually allow them to return, there will be significant interest in Hart, and we've seen that the Golden Knights are ready to do what it takes to win at all costs, and as they chase their second ever Stanley Cup, don't be shocked to see Hart in Vegas when he can return.
