After leaving Game 3 against the Oilers with an injury, the Golden Knights have confirmed the fate of captain Mark Stone for tomorrow's critical Game 4.
The Vegas Golden Knights avoided what would have been a near insurmountable 3-game deficit against the Edmonton Oilers, winning 4-3 after Reilly Smith somehow beat the buzzer with the GWG.
The puck completely crossed the line with 0.4 seconds remaining in what was a 3-3 tie; Vegas now has their 1st win and hopes to tie things up in Game 4 Monday.
The question on the minds of Golden Knights fans everywhere is whether or not captain Mark Stone will be available for Game 4 after he left on Saturday night with an injury.
Per head coach Bruce Cassidy, the team is "hoping" that Stone will be able to play Monday night.
He's a big part of our team. We want to push through to give guys a chance to get healthy and help us. We're a tight-knit group. Those guys have been together for a while they want to give him every chance to rejoin the team. We're hoping that will be (Monday). That's the mentality.
It wasn't explicitly confirmed when Stone was hurt; during the 1st period, he fell to the ice and his wrist appeared to be struck by Edmonton's Corey Perry. While Stone played another few shifts after that, he soon departed with 6:20 left.
