Carter Hart coming to Vegas has stirred up plenty of controversy, but now star forward Jack Eichel has defended the move from the Golden Knights front office.
After months of speculation, the Vegas Golden Knights officially signed Carter Hart on Thursday, with the NHL and the NHLPA coming to terms on an agreement that will see Hart reinstated and return on December 1st.
With a need in net behind Adin Hill, the Golden Knights were always one of Hart's top landing destinations, but unsurprisingly, the move has been met with plenty of backlash on social media.

While plenty of people are taking turns calling the Golden Knights out for signing Hart to a multi-year deal, players are defending the move, with star forward Jack Eichel having high praise for Hart when asked about the signing.

It's unclear if the rest of the locker room in Vegas stand by Eichel's comments, as there are bound to be some in the NHL that don't want a player like Hart back on the ice, but for now, it's happening and there's nothing to be done to stop it.
Ultimately, Hart was cleared to return by both the NHL and the NHLPA, and with Eichel standing up for the young goaltender, it appears as though there's great support for him in Vegas as he looks to return to the NHL.
