Former Vancouver Canucks forward Jannik Hansen said he doesn't believe the current Canucks should fire coach Adam Foote, but rather let him "sink the ship".

There is nothing going right for the Vancouver Canucks right now, who have now set an unfortunate franchise record with 11 straight losses after their loss to the New York Islanders on Monday.
Their previous franchise-long losing streak was 10 games set in October of 1997; the Canucks would eventually finish 24th out of the 26 NHL teams at the time.
But they've reached new levels of lowness this year under head coach Adam Foote, a former assistant coach and NHL defenseman who took the coaching responsibilities after the departure of Rick Tocchet.
Another former NHL player in Jannik Hansen, who played the majority of his career in a Canucks sweater, recently said that he thinks Foote should stay in place so that the Canucks can finish in the worst possible position.
Right now, the Canucks are dead last in the Western Conference and have already traded away Kiefer Sherwood to the divisional foe San Jose Sharks, and there could be several more players who soon follow him out the door.

Hansen was taken by the Canucks with the 287th overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, and eventually made his NHL debut in a Canucks sweater in 2007-08 after playing with the AHL affiliate Manitoba Moose.
He was part of the Canucks team that came within a game of winning the Stanley Cup in 2011 and would continue with the team until he was traded in 2017 to the Sharks.
His final year of professional hockey was 2018-19 in the KHL with CSKA Moscow.
He had 256 points (109G, 147A) in 626 career NHL games with the Canucks and Sharks.
