NHL analyst and former goaltender Kevin Weeks has listed two different teams who are the apparently frontrunners for Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane if he were dealt before the March 6 deadline.

The Vancouver Canucks have already made a pair of significant moves this year, starting by trading captain and former Norris Trophy winning defenseman Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild.
They followed that up weeks later by trading Kiefer Sherwood to the divisional foe San Jose Sharks, and there are still multiple players embroiled in trade rumours who could be on the move before the March 6 trade deadline.
Among those names are Conor Garland, Elias Pettersson, Jake DeBrusk and Evander Kane.
As far as Kane, who is skating in his first year in a Canucks sweater, is concerned, there are two Western Conference teams who are reportedly the frontrunners to acquire him per a new report from NHL analyst and former goaltender Kevin Weekes.
Weekes has listed the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche as the frontrunners to get Kane:
Per multiple sources, I'm told the Dallas Stars and Avalanche are among the likely destinations for Canucks F Kane via potential trade. - Kevin Weekes
So far, Kane has 23 points (9G, 14A) in 49 games.

Evander Kane Was Traded To The Canucks From The Oilers In The Summer

Kane, who had played in back to back Stanley Cup Finals with the Edmonton Oilers, was traded to the Canucks for a fourth round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Kane, who was taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers (now the second iteration of the Winnipeg Jets), has 640 points (335G, 305A) in 979 career NHL games.
