Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube sports gruesome injury during latest interview

The Toronto Maple Leafs 2025/26 season has been full of ups and downs thus far, but given the talent that's on this team, many believe they can still turn things around and push for a Stanley Cup Playoffs spot.

One piece that helps the fanbase and the front office be so confident is Craig Berube, the former Stanley Cup winning Head Coach, and with the team sitting at 24-17-9 on the season, just 3 points out of a playoff spot, optimism remains for the organization.

At the Maple Leafs latest press conference, the talk wasn't about this team, their recent play or their path forward, but rather Berube himself, who arrived with a gruesome cut on his head.

When asked about it, Berube kept things very light, making a joke of the situation and revealing that it happened at the gym where he simply had a little accident.

A veteran of 1,054 games on the ice during his career, Berube was known as one of the NHL's top enforcers, and even as he ages, that toughness clearly hasn't gone away, as many coaches certainly wouldn't be as chill about an injury like this as he was.

Ultimately, this is the type of toughness that he's tried to instil on the Maple Leafs on the ice for the past two seasons, and while he made light of the situation, we certainly hope that he's alright moving forward.
