Maple Leafs forward Nicholas Robertson has hit a new low according to the latest lineup projections for Toronto's matchup on Thursday against the division foe Panthers.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are chasing the Florida Panthers for the top spot in the Atlantic Division standings, and they have a key matchup on Thursday night at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena.
But as far as the lineup that the Maple Leafs will be icing is concerned, it appears as though Nick Robertson has found a new low by being designated a healthy scratch for the 2nd straight game.
He didn't play in Toronto's dramatic shootout win over the Utah Hockey Club earlier in the week, and was playing as Toronto's 13th forward during practice.
Based on how they skated at practice, Thursday's line combinations are as follows:
Matthew Knies - Auston Matthews - Mitch Marner

Calle Jarnkrok - John Tavares - William Nylander

Bobby McMann - Scott Laughton - Max Domi

Steven Lorentz - David Kampf - Pontus Holmberg

Jake McCabe - Oliver Ekman-Larsson

Morgan Rielly - Brandon Carlo

Simon Benoit - Philippe Myers

Goaltender Anthony Stolarz has been confirmed as the starter, getting a crack at his old club with whom he won the Stanley Cup last year as backup to Sergei Bobrovsky.
Robertson has 17 points (11G, 6A) in 55 games this year, and is set to become a restricted free agent in the summer.

Scott Laughton hasn't impressed so far with the Leafs

The Maple Leafs picked up a pair of acquisitions at the Trade Deadline, bringing in Scott Laughton from the Philadelphia Flyers and Brandon Carlo from the Boston Bruins.
So far, Laughton hasn't looked the most comfortable in his short time with the Leafs. But per coach Craig Berube, it won't be long before that changes.
He is hard on himself, always has been. He's got to just pull back a little bit with that and just play. Play hard. You know, control what you can control. His effort, his battle, things like that, and he'll get comfortable with the systems and comfortable with his linemates in a short time.

Laughton is slated to appear on Toronto's 3rd line against Florida alongside Max Domi and Bobby McMann.
