Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly, the longest-tenured member of the team, is reportedly on the trading block as the club struggles with consistency.
It has largely been a struggle for the Toronto Maple Leafs this year to find any level of consistency, as they've found themselves in extremely unfamiliar territory near the bottom of the Atlantic division standings.
They have already made a major change in leadership behind the bench with the firing of assistant coach Marc Savard, and there have even been rumours that head coach Craig Berube could be in danger.
At the same time, several players have reportedly been included in recent trade rumours, and one of them is the longest-tenured member of the team.
Per a report from NHL analyst David Pagnotta, the Maple Leafs could consider moving on from defenseman Morgan Rielly if the right deal came along.

So far this year, Rielly has 24 points (5G, 19A) in 35 games played. He's played his entire NHL career in a Maple Leafs sweater, and has 537 points (92G, 445A) in 908 games.
Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving Supports Craig Berube Fully
Even though the Maple Leafs decided to fire assistant coach Marc Savard, who was in charge of their NHL-worst power play, he said that head coach Craig Berube has his full support.
I want to make it clear: I support Craig fully. It's not lost on us where the team's at. We live it every day. But I think we've got a real good coach. - Brad Treliving
Berube is in his second year behind the Maple Leafs bench after he replaced the fired Sheldon Keefe in the summer of 2024.
He was able to help the Maple Leafs win just their second postseason series since 2004, but right now, the Leafs are not in an ideal position to get back to the playoffs.
