Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington was yanked from last night's game after allowing two quick goals to the Anaheim Ducks, and he had words for Blues head coach Jim Montgomery on his way off of the ice.

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington did not have a good night last night, as he was pulled early on in his start against the Anaheim Ducks at Enterprise Center as part of what would eventually be a 4-1 loss.
Binnington allowed two goals on just five shots to Mason McTavish and Pavel Mintyukov, and head coach Jim Montgomery decided to pull him in favor of backup Joel Hofer.
Cameras captured Binnington having words for Montgomery as he entered the bench after being pulled:
When the game was over, Montgomery explained his side of what transpired on the bench between him and Binnington and said both parties apologized.
You know, I love Jordan Binnington. He's a competitor. He raises his games in the big moments all the time. I love him. He walked off the ice, he said, 'I love you!' I said, 'I love you, too!'

We're both competitors, and at the end of the period, he waited for me, we apologized and we moved on. It's over and done with. - Jim Montgomery

Binnington has another year beyond this one on his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $6 million.

Blues Goaltender Jordan Binnington Has Been Involved In Multiple Trade Rumours

Binnington, who caused controversy earlier this year when he attempted to conceal the puck Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin used to score his 900th career goal with in his pants, has been involved in multiple trade rumours.
He's been linked to the Edmonton Oilers, who badly need to upgrade their goaltending situation as the tandem of Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard just aren't getting it done once again.
Binnington helped bring Canada the 4 Nations Faceoff championship in February, turning back the clock to his performance during the 2019 postseason, including the Blues' Game 7 win in the SCF in the same building over the Boston Bruins in the deciding game.
Binnington's numbers so far this year are subpar with the struggling Blues at 6-6-5 and a 3.20 GAA and .878 SV%.
