The Senators have been adamant that they are not trading Brady Tkachuk, but now it's been revealed just how bad the Dallas Stars want Ottawa's captain.
Over the past few years, Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk has been a major topic in trade speculation, but to this point, the team have shown absolutely no interest in moving him.
Even Brady himself has
shut down any notion that he could be traded, and even after the Senators broke their Stanley Cup Playoffs drought in 2024/25, the speculation continues.
Dallas Stars would move heaven and earth to land Tkachuk
During the latest episode of The Sheet with Jeff Marek, he and Greg Wyshynski broke down Tkachuk's future, singling out the Dallas Stars as a team that would do anything to land the two-way forward.
"If Brady Tkachuk was ever available I think they'd move heaven and earth"
The optimal word there is 'if', because unless something changes on Tkachuk's end in the near future, nothing is changing for the Senators, and that means that the star captain won't be available for trade, even if Dallas offered a ridiculous package.
Last season, Tkachuk put up some solid numbers again, tallying 29 goals and 55 points in 72 games while also representing Team USA at the Four Nations Face Off, showing truly just how valuable the superstar winger has become, given the style of play that he exhibits.
As Tkachuk's free agency draws nearer (summer of 2028), there's a slight chance things could change if the team don't start taking major steps forward, but with things lined up the way that they are right now, don't expect anything to happen even with this talk going on around the star forward.
