Brady Tkachuk Comments on His Future in Ottawa After Difficult First Round Series Loss
Now, it appears as though captain Brady Tkachuk does as well, because the topic of his future as a Senator once again came up in a recent interview, and he shut down any potential of him looking to move on anytime soon.
"I want to play here, I want to be here, and I really believe in everybody in this organization that everybody wants to win here. That's what makes it fun. Everybody has the same goal and wants to accomplish the same thing.
Not only that, but he took some shots at the false reports that states he wants out of Ottawa, straight up calling the reports out for being lies, despite all of the speculation that's been around for much of the season.
«Obviously, it's a lie. All those articles, stories, it's just not true. But I think it's on me if I let that bother me or take me off what I'm trying to do.
Thankfully for Brady, he reveals that he doesn't let those reports effect him too much, and after a great debut performance in the post-season that saw him tally 7 points in 6 games played, if he does stick around, this team could be a Stanley Cup Playoffs mainstay.
Ultimately, we heard the same thing from Matthew before he asked out of Calgary, and with his brother having plenty of success, there's a chance he changes his mind down the line, but for now, Tkachuk is making it clear that he doesn't want to go anywhere.
