Rangers' Vincent Trochek exposes GM Chris Drury's disrespectful treatment

After not being traded, New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck is exposing the disrespectful behavior of GM Chris Drury leading up to the deadline yesterday afternoon.
The trade deadline is over with, and even though the New York Rangers were rumoured to be close to moving on from forward Vincent Trocheck, he's still with the team.
It was even to the point where Trocheck discussed the possibility of him having to move to a new city with his kids.
But now that he knows that he's going to be with the team at least through the end of this season, which will end next month without a playoff spot, Trocheck is explaining his side of things.
I don't know. I was just happy for it all to be over with. It's a stressful waiting game whenever you're in talks like that.
But it is what it is. It's a business, and it's not the first time my name has been mentioned in trade rumors. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't, right? At the end of the day, I'm here to play hockey, and I'm a New York Ranger right now. That's what I'm playing for, and I'm going to continue to do that. - Vincent Trocheck

He was asked if GM Chris Drury told him anything after the deadline, and he said that he hadn't.
Vincent Trocheck Was Not Traded By The Rangers At The Deadline
Trocheck has enjoyed plenty of regular season success since joining the Rangers from the Metropolitan Division foe Carolina Hurricanes in 2022.
Ironically, the Hurricanes were a team Trocheck was linked to as a possible fit to be traded to this month.
But it's been a rotten year for the Rangers in 2025-26, and they're going to miss the playoffs for the second straight season.
Meanwhile, GM Chris Drury continues to get criticism heaped on him by frustrated fans and analysts alike.
