Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar has confirmed that Nazem Kadri, who is back in Colorado after being acquired yesterday from the Calgary Flames, will play tomorrow against the divisional foe Minnesota Wild.
The Colorado Avalanche have brought back forward Nazem Kadri, who helped them win a Stanley Cup in 2022, into the fold from the Calgary Flames at yesterday's trade deadline.
They sent conditional first round pick in the 2028 NHL Entry Draft, a conditional second round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft, forward Victor Olofsson and center prospect Max Curran back to the Flames in return.
Avalanche fans won't have to wait long for Kadri to make his debut for his second tenure with the team, as coach Jared Bednar confirmed that he will be playing tomorrow against the divisional foe Minnesota Wild.
So far this year, which was the fourth of Kadri's seven year contract with the Flames, he had 41 points (12G, 29A) in 61 games.
Nazem Kadri Is Thrilled To Be Back With The Avalanche
Kadri said that even though it's hard to leave his now-ex Flames teammates behind, he's thrilled to be back where he won the Cup in 2022 and where many of his old teammates from that title run still play.

Kadri has 751 points (319G, 432A) in 1,046 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Avalanche and Flames.
