Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin is facing some criticism for his bizarre comments regarding the acquisition of Bobby Brink yesterday from the Philadelphia Flyers.

Yesterday at the trade deadline, the Minnesota Wild acquired forward Bobby Brink from the Philadelphia Flyers for David Jiricek.
But Wild GM Bill Guerin, who constructed the recent gold medal-winning Team USA at the 2026 Olympics, is coming under some criticism for the comments he said he made to Brink when he traded for him.
Guerin made it clear Brink, who is originally from Minnesota, is back in his home state to work instead of it being a reunion tour for his family and friends.
The first thing I told them was, this is not a family reunion. This is not to get together with your buddies. Tell your buddies and your family they know where the ticket office is, 'buy your own freaking tickets, OK?' I'm serious, too. Like I'm half kidding, but I'm half serious, like he's coming here to work and to be a part of the Wild and to win. Like this is not coming home to hang out in Minnetonka, Wayzata and all that stuff. He's here to work. - Bill Guerin
Guerin appears to be laying down the law for a team who hasn't made the second round of the playoffs since 2015, but not everyone has taken kindly to his words.

Bobby Brink Is Back In His Home State

Brink was taken with the 34th overall pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft while playing for the University of Denver.
He's played his entire professional career with the Flyers organization, both in the NHL and with their AHL affiliate Leigh Valley Phantoms.
In 202 career NHL games, Brink has 94 points (36G, 58A).
