Bobby Brink is headed to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for David Jiricek.

Elliotte Friedman announced the swap a few minutes ago, and it has fans excited.
Brink is 24, drafted in 2019 by the Philadelphia Flyers, is a skilled winger who can slide into a top-six look.
He's sitting at 13-13-26 in 54 games this season, and brings a ton of energy through his play.
Jiricek is 22, drafted in 2022, sixth overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Minnesota has treated him like a long-term blue line bet.

David Jiricek changes the Philadelphia Flyers blueprint

Flyers fans are going to feel the sting, because Brink's hands are real and those don't grow on trees.
If this holds, Minnesota is cashing in a young defense chip to chase goals right now, while Philly takes a swing on size, reach, and a heavier breakout game.
Next game tells the story fast, Brink should get looks on the man advantage right away, and Jiricek's minutes will be the instant microscope.
This could also be a precursor to a possible Rasmus Ristolainen trade.
