New York Rangers captain JT Miller is once again facing criticism for his comments after his team suffered another embarrassing loss at home ice last night, 8-4 to the Senators.

Another home game, another embarrassing loss for the New York Rangers, who are quickly spilling out of control.
This time, the Rangers lost 8-4 to the Ottawa Senators at home, and they were down 4-0 at the end of the first period. Veteran goaltender Jonathan Quick was pulled from his 800th career game, and it was another rough overall result at Madison Square Garden.
Rangers captain JT Miller, who has faced plenty of criticism so far this year for his lackluster play, is being criticized for what he had to say when the game was finally over, saying he and his team played with pride after being down 4-0.
Bad first period. We responded. Played pretty well after that.

No s**t. We'd like to not be down 4-0 after the first but after that we responded well. Played with some pride. - JT Miller
During the game, Senators captain Brady Tkachuk scored his 200th career goal in helping Ottawa rout New York in their own building.

Rangers Veteran Mika Zibanejad Didn't Have As Positive A Recap

Despite Miller's attempt to look positive after the rough first period, veteran Mika Zibanejad had a different take, saying that they didn't deserve a better result.
Early on this season, we lost games, but I thought the effort was there. I'm not saying the effort (isn't there now), but our game isn't. I thought we played better (and) we deserved better early on, but right now, we don't. And that's a tough pill to swallow. - Mika Zibanejad

The Rangers will play the divisional foe Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon in their next game.
