The New York Rangers season is seemingly about to fall apart completely, and now J.T. Miller's latest comments show the same.
Last season, the New York Rangers struggled mightily, and over the summer, they made some immense changes, including behind the bench as they hired Mike Sullivan as their newest Head Coach while also naming the newly re-acquired J.T. Miller as their captain following the departure of Jacob Trouba.
However, it hasn't helped them much in 2025/26, as their latest 4-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken has now seen them lose seven of their last eight games as they move to 20-21-6 on the season.
Miller's comments give Rangers fans little hope
That came on the back of a 10-2 defeat at the hands of the Boston Bruins, and unsurprisingly, they came out in the next game with a lack of energy, but when asked about that lack of energy against the Kraken, captain Miller seemingly didn't have an answer for reporters.
I don't know. I'm sorry, I don't know. - J.T. Miller
Clearly, frustration is reaching a boiling point in New York, and given the struggles this team has had with their veteran core, it may be just a matter of time until the team decide to shake things up in a big way.
For now though, they remain just six points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, but if their captain has no clue how to fix their energy issues and their struggles continue, it's safe to say that the 2025/26 campaign may continue to look no different to what we saw a season ago.
