The Lightning have lost star forward Brayden Point after he was hurt and then helped off the ice during tonight's game between Tampa Bay and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Even though the Tampa Bay Lightning appear well on their way to another dominating victory over the Philadelphia Flyers, which would be their second in 48 hours, they've lost a very important member of the team.
Forward Brayden Point, one of Tampa's best forwards, was hurt and helped off the ice after getting hurt immediately after scoring a goal, which increased Tampa's lead to 3-0. He immediately began grabbing his right knee in pain while the rest of his teammates got into a scrum with the Flyers players.
Depending on the severity of Point's injury, there is a chance that he could be in danger of not being able to play for Canada in the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
The Lightning have since announced that Point will be unable to return to the game, which will naturally cause fears about his long term health not only for Canada in next month's Olympics but for the Lightning's stretch drive to the playoffs.
So far this year, Point has 29 points (10G, 19A) in 36 games played.

Losing Brayden Point Would Be A Major Loss For Both The Lightning And Canada

One of the top performing players on the Lightning and one of the key players in their back to back Stanley Cups, Point continues to do it all for Tampa Bay and was rightfully chosen to represent his country in the Olympics.
Naturally, he was also a part of Canada for the 4 Nations Faceoff last February, which Canada would eventually win in a thrilling finale over the United States at TD Garden.
