New York Rangers forward Taylor Raddysh has stepped away from the team temporarily and will miss the next two games because of his father's funeral.

The New York Rangers are going to be without forward Taylor Raddysh for the next two games, as he's taken a temporary leave of absence.
Following the sad passing of his father, he'll be attending the funeral and has been moved to non-roster status per a report from Rangers analyst Colin Stephenson.

Taylor Raddysh Is Playing In His First Year With The New York Rangers

Raddysh, who was taken by the Tampa Bay Lightning with the 58th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft while playing for the OHL's Erie Otters, eventually made his NHL debut in a Lightning sweater in 2021-22 after playing with the AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch.
He would play 53 games with the Lightning, scoring 12 points (5G, 7A) before being traded with Boris Katchouk and first round picks in the 2023 and 2024 NHL Entry Drafts to the Chicago Blackhawks for Brandon Hagel.
Raddysh had a productive first full year in a Blackhawks sweater with 37 points (20G, 17A) in 78 games but saw his offense drop considerably the following year.
He wasn't given a qualifying offer and became a free agent, signing a one year deal with the Washington Capitals. In his first and only year in a Capitals sweater in 2024-25, Raddysh had 27 points (7G, 20A).
So far this year with the Rangers, he has 17 points (9G, 8A) in 59 games. He's in the first of a two year deal with an AAV (average annual value) of $1.5 million.
