St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko is breaking his silence over the failed trade to the Buffalo Sabres in which he refused to waive his no movement clause.

The Buffalo Sabres looked as though they had a deal in place to acquire Colton Parayko from the St. Louis Blues, and an erroneous report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, which later turned out to be mistaken, indicated that he was willing to waive his no movement clause to facilitate a deal.
Parayko remains with the Blues, who are not going to make the playoffs this year owing to far too much inconsistency.
Now, Parayko is telling his side of the story, saying that he has difficulty making even simple decisions like what kind of coffee to have on a given day.
I can barely decide if I want a cappuccino or latte when I go to Starbucks - it takes me five minutes, it takes me time to make decisions, especially a decision of that magnitude. - Colton Parayko
So far this year, Parayko has 14 points (1G, 13A) in 58 games played.

Colton Parayko Remains With The Blues Despite Being Linked To The Sabres

Even though he was linked to the Sabres, Parayko remains with the Blues.
Per a report from NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman, the Sabres were prepared to pay up big time to acquire him with several of their top prospects in the American Hockey League.
All their best players would have been in St. Louis. All of them. He said they were probably going to have to trade for AHL vets, maybe from St. Louis in the deal, to fill out their roster. - Elliotte Friedman

The Sabres, who have been a machine since firing GM Kevyn Adams in December, appear well on their way to ending their 14-year playoff drought, while the Blues will have to go back to the drawing board over the summer.
