Rangers captain JT Miller said that his team did several positive things even though they were shut out for the 3rd straight time on home ice at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Rangers have already made hockey history this year, and not in a good way.
They were shutout for the 3rd straight game on home ice at Madison Square Garden, and have now surpassed the 2001-02 Florida Panthers for the longest scoreless streak on home ice.
It's also the 1st time in NHL history that a team has failed to score a single goal on home ice in each of their 1st three games in front of the home fans.
Rangers forward JT Miller, who was named the captain before the season started, had a message for the fans, saying he thinks they played a good game and cautioned against blowing things out of proportion.
I think we can all go home and sleep well knowing we played another good hockey game. We're competitors. We want to win. We'd love to see the puck going in the net. But right now it's not. It's on us to be mature about this.

Let's not make this bigger than it is. It's game five. A lot to like about our game. It's a unique situation, but let's not blow this out of proportion here. - JT Miller

The Oilers Shut Out the Rangers 2-0 on Tuesday

The Oilers visited Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and left with a shutout win, as did the previous two opponents of the Rangers in New York.
Stuart Skinner made 30 saves and joined Charlie Lindgren of the Washington Capitals and Arturs Silovs of the Pittsburgh Penguins as the goalies who have prevented the Rangers from scoring a goal on home ice so far this year.
Trent Frederic and Adam Henrique scored for the Oilers during the game.
