Georges Laraque makes a major proclamation about Matt Rempe
Georges Laraque and Matt Rempe recently had a fighting session, which has now led Laraque to make a major proclamation about Rempe.
Rempe was recently seen with Laraque, where they were engaging in a fighting session, more specifically, Laraque was showing the 21-year-old some moves he used to use against opponents back when he was playing for the Edmonton Oilers, which led Laraque to be touted as one of the best enforcers in the entire NHL.
Georges Laraque thinks Matt Rempe could be unstoppable 💪
Laraque says he recently watched Rempe engaging in a fight, and felt that he still had some work to do in order to reach his true potential.
«I was like, Oh my God, he's getting hit way too much because he has no technique,' » Laraque said via The New York Post's Mollie Walker. «And then after a few fights, his face, he had black eyes and everything. After [the] Olivier [fight], when it kind of went a bit bad, I was like, OK, I have to reach out to him.' Because he was so good for the league.»
Laraque reached out to Rempe and asked him if he wanted to train with him so that he could show him a move or two, and Rempe gladly agreed, at which point they were then seen fighting on the ice!
That's a lot of Alberta Beef! #mattrempe practicing with one of the 🐐
@GeorgesLaraque
New York Rangers fans are sure hoping Rempe learned a few moves from the great former Oilers enforcer, and I'm sure everyone will have their eyes peeled on Rempe as he steps onto the ice next season.
