Kyle Okposo's public Stanley Cup appearance in Minnesota has been canceled due to the Cup being stuck in St. Louis after the global IT outage affecting airlines.
Okposo had a big day planned with the Cup in his hometown in Minnesota, where he was going to spend the day with family and friends, as well as host a massive event for fans at the Pagel Activity Center. Those traveling to the area, especially those coming from a great distance, have been advised to turn back immediately.
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT especially if you're driving from a long distance for Kyle Okposo's public Stanley Cup appearance today at Pagel Arena.
It has to be CANCELLED due to the Stanley Cup being stuck in St. Louis because of the global IT outage affecting airlines.
«I'm crushed,» a very disappointed Okposo tells me. They're currently trying to figure out how to get the Cup here so Okposo can still have some semblance of his day with the Cup.
Okposo is clearly devastated by this latest development, however, it is important to note that those who were looking forward to seeing Okposo and the Stanley Cup need to know that the event will be rescheduled to another day in the near future. Okposo will definitely get his day with the Cup, he's earned it.
