'Not Good': Top Devils Defenseman's Injury Will Keep Him Away From Team for Entire Road Trip

The New Jersey Devils have said that defenseman Brett Pesce will not be coming with them on their upcoming road trip after suffering an injury against the Colorado Avalanche.
The New Jersey Devils are set to go on a 4 game road trip following their win on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche, but it came at a cost as defenseman Brett Pesce was hurt.

Pesce blocked a shot near the end of the 1st period; even though he stayed on the ice, he didn't come back for the 2nd period as well as the rest of the night.
Brett Pesce is in His 2nd Year With the Devils
Pesce was taken with the 66th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes while he was playing with the University of New Hampshire.
He would play the 1st several years of his NHL career with the Hurricanes and eventually moved into a top-4 role on their blue line.
Pesce
decided to move on from the Hurricanes when he signed a 6 year contract with the Devils with an AAV (average annual value) of $5.5 million. In his 1st year with the Devils, he had 17 points (3G, 14A) and also had to face his former Hurricanes teammates in the ECQF, which was won by Carolina.
So far this year, he has 3 assists.
