A pair of top players for the New Jersey Devils have undergone surgical procedures after their Round 1 playoff loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, the team has announced.

The New Jersey Devils were eliminated from their opening round Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Carolina Hurricanes in relatively quick fashion.
The series lasted only 5 games as Carolina raced out to a 2-0 series lead and then rebounded from a 2OT Game 3 loss to win the next pair of games and move on to the next round.
Following the playoff loss, a pair of Devils players have undergone surgical procedures. The team announced that both Luke Hughes and Jesper Bratt have gone under the knife but are expected to have full recoveries in time for Training Camp in the fall.
The New Jersey Devils have provided the following end-of-season injury updates:

Defenseman Luke Hughes recently underwent successful shoulder surgery, which was performed by Dr. Peter Millett at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

Additionally, forward Jesper Bratt has decided to undergo shoulder surgery, and he will not participate in the IIHF World Championships for Sweden.

Both Hughes and Bratt are expected to make full recoveries to be available for the 2025 New Jersey Devils Training Camp.

Unfortunately for the Devils against the Hurricanes, they were already without forward Jack Hughes (the brother of Luke) for the entire series; his year ended weeks earlier after suffering an injury against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Had Jack Hughes played, the Devils would have had a much better chance of having made the series more competitive.
