Quinn Hughes made his debut with the Minnesota Wild on Sunday, and now he's revealed just how open he is to extending with them in the summer.
The Minnesota Wild went all in on this core over the past few days, making a blockbuster trade that nobody saw coming when they acquired Quinn Hughes from the Vancouver Canucks.
He would then make his debut with the team on Sunday, helping lead them to a 6-2 victory, showing that given the elite talent they've got leading the team, they can clearly dominate anyone in the NHL on their day.

However, the Wild acquired Hughes knowing that he's got just 1.5 years left on his current deal, making him eligible for a long-term extension as of July 1st, 2026.

Unsurprisingly, it's the GM and the fans that both believe in Hughes, with the crowd in Minnesota giving him an incredible reaction as he pulled on their jersey for the first time on Sunday.
Ultimately, how things play out moving forward will have a major impact on Hughes' future with the Wild, but given all of the early factors involved, it appears as though he'll give them a genuine chance to re-sign him long-term.
