Outspoken NHL player agent Allan Walsh, who represents Marc-Andre Fleury, has hinted that his client could make another return to the NHL at some point this year despite having announced his retirement.

Former Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, who won three Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins, played one last official game in September in a Penguins sweater in front of a sold-out crowd that appeared to be his official sendoff.
He announced last year that 2024-25 was his last year in the NHL, but even after the exhibition game with the Penguins in the fall, he's been seen on the ice at the Wild training center practicing with his ex-teammatees.
Now, Fleury's outspoken agent Allan Walsh is pouring gas on rumours that his client could give it one last go-around in the NHL.
Fleury recently said that he's mostly decided that his retirement is for good, appearing to leave the door cracked open just a bit for one last return in the NHL.
Probably not. A couple teams asked. But I just said, 'No.' It's tough for some reasons. - Marc-Andre Fleury
Fleury was acquired by the Wild from the Chicago Blackhawks at the 2022 trade deadline, and remained with them until last spring.

Marc-Andre Fleury Is Second Overall In Total NHL Wins

Fleury's 575 career wins in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks and Wild rank second all time in NHL history for a goalie behind only his boyhood idol Martin Brodeur.
Fleury won three Stanley Cups in his career, all with the Penguins, and took the expansion Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup Final in 2018, but fell three wins short.
His number 29 sweater number will almost certainly be retired by the Penguins at some point.
