Per a new report from analyst Marco D'Amico, Los Angeles Kings forward has requested a trade from the Kings and would like a deal done sooner than later.
It looks like Phillip Danault wants to be moved from the Los Angeles Kings, where he has played since being signed to a six year contract as a free agent in the summer of 2021.

Danault, who is playing in his fifth year in a Kings sweater, has yet to score a goal and has just five assists in 30 games.
Phillip Danault Signed A Six Year Deal With The Kings In 2021
Danault was taken with the 26th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks, and he'd play within the organization until he was traded to the Canadiens in 2016 for Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann in February 2016.
He reached what was then a career-best 53 points (12G, 41A) in 2018-18.
After signing with the Kings in 2021, he reached a new career-best of 54 points (18G, 36A) in 2022-23.
He has one year left on his deal with an AAV (average annual value) of $5,500,000.
So far in his NHL career, he has 399 points (125G, 274A) in 741 games with the Blackhawks, Canadiens and Kings.
