The Pittsburgh Penguins, who recently acquired goaltender Stuart Skinner from the Edmonton Oilers for Tristan Jarry, announced that Skinner will start tonight against his old team in their first meeting since Friday's trade.

There's a new goaltender in town for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and it's Stuart Skinner, who was acquired on Friday from the Edmonton Oilers.
In return, the Penguins sent goaltender Tristan Jarry to Edmonton along with Sam Poulin; the Penguins also received Brett Kulak from the Oilers as part of the deal.
Jarry has already started and won his first game in an Oilers sweater against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and coincidently, the Penguins and Oilers will play each other tonight in Pittsburgh.
It's already been confirmed that Jarry will be getting the start for Edmonton against his old team, and the Penguins announced the same for Skinner, who will get his first start in his new colours against the team he helped bring twice in a row to the Stanley Cup Final.
Skinner said that he's happy to get his first start against his former teammates following practice today and also said he and Kulak are fortunate to be in Pittsburgh.
We're very fortunate and very grateful to be in Pittsburgh.

We're ripping off the bandaid right away. Kinda like it. - Stuart Skinner

Stuart Skinner Will Get The Start For The Penguins Against His Former Oilers Teammates

If Skinner and the Penguins pick up a win, it will be Skinner's 12th win of the year and first in a Pittsburgh sweater. So far this year in all his appearances with the Oilers, Skinner went 11-8-4 with a .891 SV%.
Skinner helped the Oilers to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the last two postseasons, but he was replaced in both runs at times by Calvin Pickard.
The Oilers decided they couldn't wait any longer for Skinner to find more consistency, and they hope that Jarry can provide it as they look to make a third straight deep playoff run.
