Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid said he's looking forward to the exciting environment that will be provided by the fans for tonight's game against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs at Rogers Place.

The Edmonton Oilers have one last game before the Olympic break, and it's against the Toronto Maple Leafs at home.
For Oilers captain Connor McDavid, he'll get a chance to once again play against his hometown team.
McDavid can't wait for the exciting environment at Rogers Place, as there will be lots of Maple Leafs fans who make the trip and who will make it a loud atmosphere.
It's always exciting. It's always a great environment. Toronto fans come out, Edmonton fans come out, and the rink's always lively, so it'll be fun. Obviously, the playoff race is really tight, so we gotta get points on the board. - Connor McDavid

The Maple Leafs, who had lost six straight games, have now won two straight with wins over the struggling Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames, but McDavid and the Oilers will have something to say about their short two game winning streak when the puck drops tonight in Edmonton.

The Oilers Will Face Former Defenseman Troy Stecher

Not only is McDavid going against his hometown team, but he and the rest of his teammates fill go against an ex-teammate, Troy Stecher.
Stecher is now with the Maple Leafs, and McDavid said that he was a good guy the rest of the team could count on.
Yeah, he's a great player, obviously we know that, but such a great teammate. He was kind of in and out of the lineup here, but not because he didn't deserve to be playing. He's a great player, as I said, and never complained about anything. Just showed up every day, worked hard, and was a big piece of the room. Great to see him having success there. - Connor McDavid

Stecher was claimed by the Maple Leafs not long after the Oilers waived him in November.
