Three top contenders expected to pursue Jason Robertson this summer

Jason Robertson is having another stellar campaign for the Dallas Stars, but if the two sides don't reach an extension before the summer, he will be heavily pursued.
Over the past few seasons, there's been very few players in the NHL playing at a higher level than Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson, and in 2025/26, he's taking his game to another level entirely.
Despite not making the US National Team for the 2026 Olympic Games, Robertson has posted 30 goals and 60 points in 52 games played, and he's continuing to look like a future star for the organization.

However, an extension has not yet been reached with the organization, and in the summer of 2026, he will be a restricted free agent, with the possibility that he's on the move unless Dallas lock him in to an expensive long-term deal.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, if he does reach the summer as a free agent still without a deal, the Seattle Kraken, Utah Mammoth and Carolina Hurricanes are all teams to watch in the Robertson sweepstakes.
As of right now, it's unclear how things are going to play out, but with Robertson likely to demand $12 million or more per season in free agency, there's a good chance that the Stars won't want to pay him that and may be open to a move.
The other option is the dreaded offer sheet, something we haven't seen since the Blues handed the Oilers not one, but two offer sheets for Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, but with all three of Seattle, Carolina and Utah having the cap space and the desire to add a top star, they make sense as landing spots for Robertson.
