NHL analyst David Pagnotta has linked New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck, who just won gold with Team USA, to the NHL's Central Division with the trade deadline looming.

The New York Rangers have gone through a truly miserable year, and they're going to fall short of the playoffs for the second straight year.
Considering the Rangers are only two years removed from winning the President's Trophy and advancing to the Eastern Conference Final against the eventual Cup winner Florida Panthers, their fall from grace is especially disappointing to fans in the Big Apple.
They've already made numerous changes since then, both in player personnel and behind the bench. And with the trade deadline looming next week, the Rangers could make another move involving forward Vincent Trocheck.
Per analyst David Pagnotta, Trocheck could be a fit with the Central Division, and names both the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche as possibilities.

His preference is stay East. Or close to it... How far West he might be willing to go might determine what other options would be available to him. We know he doesn't wanna go to the Pacific. But is there a team in the Central that perhaps makes sense outside of Minnesota? - David Pagnotta

Trocheck still has three years with an AAV (average annual value) of $5.625 million left on his deal.

Vincent Trocheck Is In His Fourth Year With The Rangers

Trocheck, who was taken with the 64th overall pick by the Florida Panthers in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, is playing in his fourth year in a Rangers sweater since signing as a UFA in 2022.
He's also played with the Carolina Hurricanes, who he helped the Rangers beat in the Eastern Conference Semifinal in 2024.
He has 615 points (235G, 280A) in 845 NHL games.
