Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers linked to Hurricanes
Straight after being wiped from the playoffs, Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers admitted that contract extension talks are yet to begin between his camp and the Jets organization.
In a new developpment, it appears the Winnipeg Jets will be shopping around forward Nikolaj Ehlers this summer. The danish forward has one more year left on his contract making 6M AAV. He has been linked to the Carolina Hurricanes as they have many forwards who can be on the move this off-season.
According to the report, the Hurricanes have previously discussed a trade involving Ehlers with the Winnipeg Jets therefore the interest has been around for awhile.
Sounds like #GoJetsGo Nikolai Ehlers is available in the trade market. It was reported a while back that Ehlers was believed to have been offered in a trade to the #CauseChaos. Hard to imagine they aren't still interested considering Teravainen and Guentzel are pending UFAs. #NHL
No doubt the Jets forward will be of interest by many teams.
