Carolina Hurricanes winger Seth Jarvis just had his season ended by the New York Rangers and just shared the injuries he struggled through all year.

Hockey players are undoubtedly some of the toughest athletes on the planet. Time and time again they endure gruesome injuries and play through them on the quest for the Stanley Cup.

Today Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes shared that he was struggling with some serious injuries all year.

Seth Jarvis revealed that he played most of this season with a torn labrum and rotator cuff, then suffered a broken finger in the playoffs.

Even with those injuries, he still went on to score 33 goals during the regular season and led the team with five more in the postseason. Not bad.

Why play through instead of taking the time to heal up?

"I'll do whatever I need to to get out there. I didn't want to miss an opportunity with this kind of group."

Jarvis would have a breakout year despite his injuries scoring 33 goals and 67 points through 81 games and finishing in the top ten of Selke voting for the league's best defensive forward.
