Concerning report emerges surrounding Auston Matthews' future health
Auston Matthews was forced to miss parts of the Toronto Maple Leafs series against the Boston Bruins and now a concerning report has emerged regarding his future health.
This past season was awfully successful for Auston Matthews as he scored 69 goals and 107 points in the regular season. However, in the playoffs, the Leafs superstar was limited to only four points in five games and had to miss games five and six with an illness.
Recently Sportsnet's Luke Fox reported concerning news regarding Matthews' long-term health.
"How concerning is it that Auston Matthews has now sustained multiple head injuries in his career one in his sophomore season and another after a 'weird hit' in Game 4 of the Bruins series?
Sidney Crosby is the posterboy for stuffing head injuries in the rearview and going on to thrive for years afterward. We'll take it as a positive that Matthews got cleared to play Game 7 and set up a goal, despite looking something less than 100 per cent." - Luke Fox on Auston Matthews Matthews will have a lengthy offseason to recover from whatever injuries he sustained and hopefully, he will be able to continue to perform for the Leafs for years to come unimpeded by head injuries.
