Buffalo Sabres Called Out By Fans for Careless New Campaign

For the past 15 years, the Buffalo Sabres have struggled to put together any sustained success, with the team holding the longest current post-season drought of any team in North America.

Unfortunately, that's made the organization a terrible one in the eyes of both theirs and neutral fans, and lately, they simply can't stop shooting themselves in the foot.

Earlier this summer, it was the trade of JJ Peterka that brought back an incredibly underwhelming return, and now, fans are calling out the organization for something else involving their former star.

Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, the Sabres hosted a poll for their fans to take on suggestions for goal songs involving individual players, but there was only one major mistake.

On the drop down menu of the poll, Peterka's name was still there, showing just how careless the organization has become, with fans on social media quick to call them out for their simple lack of attention to detail, something that simply doesn't happen for competent organizations.

In the grand scheme of things, this doesn't matter too much, but given how bad things have been organization wide for so long, it's easy to see why fans are frustrated ahead of what could end up being another disappointing season for the Sabres.

No one is going to feel sorry for the team however, as they need to keep building the team the way they have been in recent years, and if they can bring in some good names and keep drafting well, there's a chance this team can turn things around as the years roll on.
