A blurry background shot in a new Bruins documentary revealed a proposed trade for Filip Hronek, and fans spotted it fast.

The Boston Bruins dropped a new episode of their behind the scenes series this week, and for a few seconds the cameras lingered a little too long on something the team probably wished they had covered up.
In the background, while general manager Don Sweeney and his staff worked through the opening hours of free agency, a trade planning board sat in full view of the lens.
It took an eagle eyed fan online to notice what was actually written on it.
Once the image got sharpened and passed around online, one entry stood out.
It showed a potential deal sending Filip Hronek to Boston in exchange for prospect defenceman Liam Pettersson along with first round picks in 2027 and 2028.

What the board actually showed

Nobody outside the building knows if Boston pitched this to Vancouver, if the Canucks floated it back, or if it was simply a wish list scribbled during a slow afternoon.
What we do know is that Hronek has made his intentions pretty clear.
He wants to stay in Vancouver, he carries a no movement clause, and the Canucks have talked about building around him rather than moving him.

The other trade already happened

Here is where it gets interesting. A second entry on that same board turned out to be completely real.
It showed Joonas Korpisalo heading to the New York Rangers for Kalle Vaisanen and a 2028 fourth round pick, a trade that actually closed on July 1.
That detail is why fans are not brushing this off as a doodle.
If one line on the board came true, it raises the question of how close Boston really got to landing a top four defenceman before deciding to walk away.
